After studying at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique and at the Ecole Normale de Musique, where she won the class prizes and graduated in piano and chamber music, Emmanuelle Bartoli continued her studies at the Salzburg Mozarteum.
On her return to France she worked as a soloist performer. Since 1992 she has been a professor and accompanist pianist at the Paris Conservatoire. She also is pianist of the recruitment competitions held by the Orchestre de Paris, the Opéra Bastille, the Orchestre of Liège and the CA competition for conservatory teachers. She is a regular accompanist at international competitions (Epernay, Prague, Genève, Asti, Porcia...)
She is admired as a chamber musician, playing with Pascal Robault (alto), Sylvie Dusseault (violin), Alain Damien (clarinet), Daniel Gremelle (saxophone), Daniel Breszinski (trombone) or Frédéric Macarez (percussion).
She met Daniel Marrillier at a workshop in 1995 and their immediate musical empathy has resulted in concerts in France and internationally.
